Wish List
Ok...while it may seem a bit presumptuous to do this, I decided that
it was a lot better than having people ask me what I want for my birthday,
Christmas, etc. Often, people want to know what sort of stuff I need or
want (and sometimes I forget what it is I need or want); therefore, this
list also serves as a reminder to me of what stuff I still need to purchace.
I created a wish list on Amazon.com for some things that can be purchased
from that site. You
can access this list here.
There are some other ideas that I didn't find at Amazon, so here they
are:
- Here's something terribly nerdy, but cool! They're called
TetraTops and I'd love to have multiple sets of the starter packs,
deluxe packs, and maybe even the executive desk set. They're fun toys,
can be used for cool artistic sculptures, and they teach geometry!
- Recently, I've decided that I need to more clothes shopping. Gift
certificates to DSW Shoe Warehouse,
Old Navy, JC
Penny (registry number 00380898), and Steve and Barry's (Go Blue!)
are generally safe clothing stores for me.
- Mostly, I like gifts that remind me of my friends, good times, etc.
However, I also like my gifts (both those that I give to others and
those that I receive) to be functional.
- I'm very particular about software, hardware, and computer accessories
that I use, so please be sure to check here for updated information
if you're thinking about that kind of stuff.
- My musical tastes are quite varied, but I have a pretty good collection
of music already. Some of the selections I have are listed in The
Cottage section of this web site. Otherswise, just know this: I
can't stand country music.
- Right now, my walls and desktops are a bit full, so I don't have much
room for pictures, posters, desktop things that just look pretty or
are funny. If I put it on my desk, I want it to do something functional...hopefully,
make my desk less cluttered.
- I love getting gift certificates.
- I like going out to restaurants (I'll try just about anything)
- Music stores
- Something like free tickets to a museum (like the DIA) or a performing
arts performance (I like classical music, operas, and plays of various
sorts).
