I need to thank a few
people and groups for this experience and it warrants filling up
a whole page.
First, I need to thank my mother. This trip was
all her doing. Words cannot adequately express how grateful I am
for having the chance
to do this and to experience it with her. It was a lot of fun getting
to know my mom as an adult. It's been a long time coming and
this was the perfect venue for it.
Next, I need to thank Kim and the group at Concierge
Travel. What
a great bunch people! (Specifically: Kim, Will, Dany, and Joe.) Not
only did they do an exceptional job at planning all of the events,
they
made
sure
that
everything
was
organized
and seamless. Every night when we went back to our cabin, we would
find a gift and a card explaining the next day's activities. The
other groups on the ship did not receive this personalized attention.
It took a lot of effort to get the cards together, gifts wrapped,
and all the little details done on time. It was such a nice touch!
The reason we got these nice touches leads me to the next group to
thank: Horizon
The Horizon
Solutions group
had some extra cabins available as part of a block they bought for
their employees to go on this cruise.
They
graciously
allowed us to purchase the cabins rather than let them go empty as
well as accompany them on their excursions. This group of people
is great to travel with on a ship. They're friendly,
intelligent, and great company on excursions and at the dinner table.
I appreciate being included in their tour group. The special touches
and additional excursions were all arranged by Concierge Travel especially
for this group. You would not get some of the special touches we
received if you simply booked a cruise through Silver Sea.
I'd also like to thank Silver
Sea Cruises. I had a great time and
they treated me so well. It was almost awkward getting used to the
luxury they provided on their ship. My cabin was wonderfully comfortable
and the staff were all excellent at tending to my needs. They make
a great cosmopolitan too!
I can't forget to thank Yener as well. I appreciate
his staying home and taking such good care of the cats and the home.
He was only
mildly jealous and didn't hold it against me at all! ;-)
